Board Policy for Renewal Year 2024 – EIPA Grading Delay

This policy only applies to a provisional licensee, who applied for and was awarded a provisional license with a two-year degree only, and is eligible to renew their license in 2024.

If the provisional licensee has taken the EIPA test, on or before March 1, 2024, and is
currently awaiting results, the provisional licensee may submit a complete renewal through the online platform on or before September 30, 2024, and upload proof of having sat for the EIPA test to the certifications and classifications section of the renewal portal. Submitting a complete renewal and uploading this proof will allow for a 90 day
time limited grace period of the provisional license. The provisional license will expire January 1, 2025 April 1, 2025*. This will NOT renew the provisional license for an entire licensure year (October 1-September 30), but instead is a time limited grace period for the current provisional license.

Any provisional licensee that was granted a time limited grace period, and receives a 3.5 or above score on the EIPA, shall send confirmation of these results to the Board office via email on or before January 1, 2025 April 1, 2025*. The provisional license expiration date will be updated to September 30, 2025.

If a confirmation of a 3.5 or above score is not submitted to the Board office ([email protected]) on or before January 1, 2025 April 1, 2025*, the provisional license will lapse, and any licensee holding such provisional license will no longer be licensed and will have to reapply for a full license once a qualifying certification is held.

*After review of the most up to date delayed status of distributing results for the EIPA. The Board voted and approved to extended the time limited grace period to April 1, 2025 from January 1, 2025 to allow enough time for candidates who qualify for the time limited grace period to receive results.
